What is Modern Architecture?

Modern architecture, as the name suggests, is the implementation of modern architectural styles, ideas and practices. Modern architecture aims at creating functionality and superior aesthetics. It is characterized by inventiveness and sophistication. Modern architecture dares to explore new uncharted territories in terms of styles and designs. Hence, it can be very bold and experimental.

Usually, there is a sense of minimalism, the use of asymmetrical shapes and designs along with the use of modern building materials. Also, ornamentation is usually not used in modern architecture. The craftsmanship is also generally very superior as there is reliance on the latest machines and technology.
